And John's (Pergolizzi) 4th floor auction was hilarious... The bidders were softened up thanks to a few bottles of Masi wine supplied by my pals Paul and Rita Lee. Thanks guys... >>

These post-event reports and reminisces just tickle the hell out of me! Thanks all of you! If you have more, keep em coming as they are best when served hot & fresh!

Jamie, you comments above each solicit a huge warm rush of flashbacks to additional funny and fun happenings over the weekend. You say "eccentric" and I think you mean it in exactly the way I do.. That being a fond reference to all of us NOT being part of the boring mass mediocrity but instead being strong and charmingly kooky individualists!

Just to touch on the folks you mention here:

Grant and Curt were an absolute hoot on Friday night as they assembled Rivendells and shellacked bars at CDO. I teased and taunted Grant about his ideas so much and he was so cool and sincere. What a nutty and super nice guy! Curt is different again but so very compelling as a craftsperson of prodigious talent and wonderful just-damn-niceness! Man am I glad these two made the trip!

John P.. Well he is one unique bird..When I very first talked to him, I was a bit put off by his ocassionally-pain-in-da-ass New Yorker-ness ...but that quickly swung over to the other extreme and know I love him like a brother!

And Paul and Rita Lee! It's so funny... Maybe a it Cirque voodoo or who knows what but I only spent ten minutes with this couple and I feel like they are family! And they are so beautifully riding together! Sweet! Thanks you two for driving halfway around d the world (seemingly) to be here... (Geez, I hope this euphoria lasts a while longer! This makes the troubles of the world much easier to tolerate!)

Still on a bubble. Dale
