I learned last night that I am to have the distinct honor of being best man at the wedding of my widowed, 83-year-old grandfather, to take place June 7 in Newcastle-on-Tyne, in Northeastern England. Ive never before been away from North America and look forward to the time I can spend afterwards (car) touring Northern England, Scotland, and, I hope, the Isle of Man. Can anyone here provide information offline about must-see or do CR (or sports car or sailing) -related sites or events that I could realistically track down between the 8th and the 14th? Mr. Stone and Mr. Butler, heres where you can provide me with the addresses and super-secret passwords for your favorite, heretofore undisclosed hunting grounds for antique cycling ephemera.
And to think, here I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't get to North Carolina!
