While you guys were all out carousing at the Cirque, I scored a pretty little NR Austro Daimler from eBay, for, I think, a very modest price. While I'm waiting for it to arrive, would anyone be so kind as to educate me on the AD flavor of bicycle? I've gone through the information in the obvious places (CR website and Sheldon Brown's site), but if anyone has any unique information, I'd love to receive it. Or, any miscellaneous comments you may have are welcome, too.
For some reason, Austro Daimlers have always had a strange appeal to me; perhaps it's just that they're outside the mainstream, or maybe it's my Germanic origins. Whatever the reason, I'm finally the keeper of one.
