Mark Poore came over to the house this morning and off we went. Joining us was a local guy, John, who I gave the Palo Alto that I got from a listmember at Cirque. This was John's first time on a bike in over 5 years. Lots of bike chat, particularly from Mark as he was gushing with information about that 1935 Hetchins with the oil lamps that he posted about last night. Sounds like a great find to me with fenders, NOS parts, bags, swan stem and all the bells and whistles that Ray Etherton could manage as he was the one who restored it for this English chap who has retired to Florida. But, the highlight of the ride was seeing a big enclosed car carrier with something special inside. Noticing that the car under the cover might just be an exotic, we stopped and inquired about it. Turns out it was Tracy McGrady's Lamborghini. Lamborghini had transported it to California and back just to fix a problem that Tracy was having with it. 6.3 liters, 600 horsepower, 220 MPH, wow!! For those of you who don't know Tracy McGrady, he led the NBA in points per game this year and was the only reason that the Orlando Magic made the playoffs. Mark can add to the description, but we watched them unload it, cringing as the front air dam came within about 1 inch of scraping the ramp as they drove it off the truck. Enough off-topic chatter, but that was very cool. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
