A little late, but here goes:

One of my highpoints was Aldo showing us how the Cambio Corsa shifted on his beautiful Bianchi on that hot Friday while hanging in the shade on the side of Dale's shop. And then on Sunday at the Cirque watching him sitting on the floor like a kid in rapt concentration polishing the more modern Cambio Paris Roubaix shifter he'd gotten at Steven Maasland's and John Pergolizi's 4th floor auction Saturday night. He'd shown me how it worked earlier in the day repeating the admonition not to open it up. It had a LOT of tiny parts in it.

Friday night's dinner, where I said hello to Larry and Harvey after the meal and was introduced to their dining partners. Unable to hear over the din, I said hello to all. Larry then asked me what I was looking forward to the most at the Saturday seminar. I said that I wanted to hear Grant Peterson talk about "Lugs and My Life". The gentleman on the left said "I didn't tell Dale that! ..." as I realized that I'd been speaking to Grant and Curt Goodrich. Everyone was wonderful and seemed to be having the best time. Meeting all those new acquaintances that we've been corresponding with for so long and getting to know better those we've met from the year before was great, too many people to mention by name.

Squeezing five people, Wayne, John P., Chuch Schm., and Roy D. into my little hatchback to blast around on the way to Karen's on Thursday. What a wild crowd. And of course, getting lost, de regeur (sp?) for anyone driving around Greensboro from out of town, especially those with old timers desease.

Getting four lovely rides in in just three days and not missing one scheduled event. Thursday is definitely the time to get down there. Too many stories and wonderful experiences. I'll be back next year.
