Well my Frejus is serial number 103857 and the gentleman that gave it to me said he bought in 1964. It is made of Columbus and still sports the original (beaten) decal. I wasn't sure what post was on the bike (it was an incomplete bike when I got it) but I think I found it and it's a 28.6 mm SR Laprade. When I measured the seat tube I was getting numbers that seemed to vary between 27+ and ~26.8, but now that I've found this 26.8 post and tried the fit I'm confident that 26.8 is right for this frame, no need for reaming or anything.

Although I do need to find an old (no limit line) 28.6 2-bolt Campy post now.... I guess I'll find another use for the 27 mm posts I've got kicking about. :-P

Thanks for all the responses,
