I have two project bikes on the go at the moment and I was noticing the headsets last night. They both have steel Campag headsets with the text around the circumference on the upper and lower parts.
The one that's currently on the ~'65 Frejus says: BREV. CAMPAGNOLO ITALY BREV. CAMPAGNOLO ITALY on the top and bottom cups.
The one that's currently on the ~'72 Bevilacqua says: BREV CAMPAGNOLO ITALY BREV CAMPAGNOLO ITALY on the top and BREV CAMPAGNOLO ITALY BREV CAMPAGNOLO <C> on the bottom cup.
Can anyone tell me about the ages/date ranges that these differences point out? Are the headsets correct for the year of bike that they're on?
