Subject: [CR]A Pugeot found in the trash

Hi,

As if I don't already have enough bikes, then this one shows up in the scrap. What the heck, always room for one more...It's that philosophy that's gotten me into trouble! Anyhow, the bike's obviously hardly even been used, as the chain is nearly brand new and no signs of use anywhere, but it has been stored for a long time in less than perfect condition. But we're baffled. After going to the Pugeot PX-10 site for more information, I still have no idea what it really is. To guess, it is about 1987 or 1988. Sorry, I have no pics, but here is the description:

"Course" in script. (No, it does not say Chorus, as I had first thought) Serial # is on an aluminum plate/decal on BB --- 1384192 then below is U010M 57 Weinemann brakes marked with Pugeot name Stronglight Simplex gears, cranks and derrs. Philippe Bars, Atax stem, Sedis Sport chain, Normandy HF hubs, Lyotard pedals, 6 speed.

That's the basics. Can get more data if needed, but does anyone have any ideas on this one?

Many thanks,
Amanda Graham
