Subject: [CR]Campagnolo chainring question

List,

Anyone narrow down the date for these <C> logo inner rings?

I recently purchased a NR crank, with <5> on the arms that has a 42T ring with the <C> stamp. The outer ring has "patent" stamp, and a pin.

My genuine 41 tooth NR ring has just the "<C>" and the number of teeth. Stevan Thomas Alameda, CA

Do all Campagnolo Nouvo Record chainrings have "Patent Campagnolo" or "Brev. Campagnolo" engravings? I just got a 144mm 42 teeth chainring in the classical Nouvo Record Pattern which has no "Campagnolo" written on it but the <c> ("c" in diamond) logo engraved to it. It this a genuine Campagnolo chainring or an aftermarket product?

thanks,
Dirk
