There was a Unicanitor to fit the special Campagnolo post - I have one and I think there was an Ideale too. The Brooks saddles are far rarer than the special fittings for the seatpost - even in England the saddles are really quite uncommon - I have only seen one for sale in the last two or three years. They were as far as I can tell introduced in 1959. ----------- Wow! I've never seen the Unicanitor or the Lyotard, but the funny thing to me is that I have one of the Brooks B17s (in not-so-good shape) on a Paramount that I showed at Cirque a couple of years ago. Nobody commented on it. BTW, this year someone showed special fittings for using the Ideale Alumninum "plate" rails with a Campy post. That was neat! I did not note the flare, so not sure if these were for standard width or narrow Ideale.
