If it's a Campy crank, can you use a Shimano taper spindle, which will set the crank arms further out? You'll chew up the good arm a bit, but then they'll match. I think Mike Kone suggested this trick once on the old Bicycle Classics web site when selling some Dura Ace road BBs. I have a pair of Campy road arms that are very close to bottoming out, and am considering trying this.
