Argos has never had any connection with Ron Cooper. Argos was founded c1974 by Arthur Needham and another guy called Goss hence Argos. They do not have any connection either with Fred Baker Cycles who have never made their own frames but have badged frames from all sorts of jobbing framebuilders - very unlikely to be Argos as they have always been near the top of the market in the UK. This particular Argos frame I suspect to be late 70s/early 80s.
