Subject: [CR]Patina "improvement/matching"???

Hi I have a frameset from the 60's that I guess I have cleaned and polished too vigorously. It is full chrome, with a blue primer layer covered by an Ivory top coat of enamel/paint. Due to age, the Ivory has become variably darker and duller. The cleaning and polishing has worn through the Ivory layer, exposing the blue undercoat in places. Problem is this: I can probably fins a paint that will do a fair job of matching the Ivory......getting it to match the patina though may prove trickier, as the patina varies along the paint surface. Has anyone ever found a method for successfully matching and blending such aged and delicate finishes, particularly the colors that seem to age more readily. Is there a "magic patina spray" somewhere? I would obviously prefer to effect a local touchup, not repaint the whole frameset, as then I am looking at: new decals more cost more work. Thanks
