First thing I would do is email him with some questions. Like, would you be willing to do <A href="http://www.escrow.com">www.escrow.com</A>. What written provenance do you have to substantiate your claims. And, do you have the documentation that gives you permission to export these bicycles out of the Russian Federation. (You need government approval to take old and antique items out of other countries no matter what you paid.)
As far as being new, everybody has to start somewhere. The pictures look legitimate. He didn't try to hide anything. The way I look at it life is a gamble.
