>From Freddy Parr Jr. My Dad was useing splined hollow axles in the 1950's there was no market that he could sell them thru. His hollow 4130 cranks and oversized bottom brackets inspired me to continue, but may I remind U all that I caught flack fo making oversized tubing bikes.. until the Big boys did it. Phil Wood also has entered the mission of a new design departure for BB's It may be one of the last items to go from tradition. But it has been done in small shops and if I get to live long enough to see my dream--The Accufit bicycle line with new tyres and wheels and a formula of ideal proportions for each rider, with the lowest friction BB and super rigid hollow oversized BB and steerer.

Even the hub axles would be better if they where redesigned --nothing on a bike needs to be "thick" metal if the formula is true to purpose.. loosing those traditions will be the only way to enter this century and make it better, not for fashion--only for function!!!
