Interesting John...

I have two Masi G.C. that were built up at the Masi shop under the Vigorelli in Milan. A 1971 and a 1973 and they both have the extra thick (4mm) lock ring on the bottom bracket adjustable cup, two washers stacked on the headset, and right lever / front brake set-up. The '73 also has one additional thing I have seen on one other Masi assembled at the shop: a black oxide finished allen head bolt and nut substituted for the front derailleur clamp bolt and nut.

Just some observations from someone who doesn't have a life :)
