Is it a TDF or Super Course?
Some of the Gitane bikes we sold at Culver Bike Rack were great and some were sloppy junk.
One of the few bikes we always shook out of the box as soon as they came in, no two were of the same quality.
I had a white one that rode super,(Super Course) and I kept it for many years, but many were just awful
