WOW, this all I can really say, this CR forum ROCKS, I am a newcomer to the list, a few months ago, and I am just a bike enthusiast. Many moons ago I competed on a second hand Bottecchia, won a few sew-ups, wheels and waterbottles, then moved with my family and got out of road racing. I just love the bikes from my youth!! I am unable to contribute in a discussion about the geometry of a frame, or the finer points of when and in what way the Campagnolo components changed over the years and until recently I didn't know the difference between a Nervex lug and Prugnat lug, I just knew some of the bikes have beautiful craftsmanship. I notice this because I work with my hands, I am a stair railing carpenter, everything from the "Gone with the wind" stairs to the everyday straight run of stairs in tract houses. I appreciate the labor that goes into a finely crafted piece, whatever it may be. I love looking closely at the handiwork on 1973 Colnago, just the other day, seeing how finely thinned the lugwork is, learned this too :-) OK enough babble. If a friend had not introduced me to this forum, I would not have found an exact copy of the bike I competed on, a 1974 Bottecchia giro d' Italia, in white, just sitting around in it's original condition, collecting rust and dust, waiting for me. And today I found out that the track bike I have is a Paris Sport Vigorelli!!! I think this is great, I'm jazzed, I have been searching to find out the origin of the bike, not all that long either!!! So, Dale, I have a track bike to put on the Paris sport page, its not NOS, but not many are. Thanks to those who took it upon themselves to look into my bike request, thanks to those who I have been having Email conversation with, learned alot about Colnago's!! I really do want to meet some of you and greet you face to face, pedal to pedal. Regards, John Morrison Dana Point, SoCal
