There was a little shop on San Salvador in San Jose.

At one time it housed Terry Shaw and his shop. Terry builds a good wheel, by the way.

The subsequent owner had a Phil Wood spoke machine. That in itself means serious wheel work. He also employed a fellow who I called Wheel Guy.

But what made 'Wheel Guy' a true (so to speak) master was that he built wheels that stayed true AND he only charged $10.

That, for me, is a winning combination.

As my Uncle Russell used to say, the only thing better than good wine is good wine that's on sale.
