Subject: [CR]French QR Questions: Huret? Simplex? Speidel? Malliard?

I have a pair of quick releases that have straight and very slender chromed levers that have "Simplex" stamped in the lever. They have white rubber lever hoods that say "Huret" in script. The adjusting nut has a double locking nut design that puts a knurled chromed nut under a black plastic spring loaded nut that has plastic adjusting wings.

Anybody familiar with these? What years could they be? What hubs, if any, would they have been speced with? Are the "Huret" rubber hoods original to the QRs (seems likely) and if so, why the double branding? (I have a pair of bar end shifters that are reversed: Huret on the inside, Simplex on the black rubber hoods.)

I also have a couple pairs of Speidel/Malliard curved lever (post CPSC) QRs that have one brand name on each side of the lever. What level hubs (presumably Malliard?) would these have belonged to? When?

What QRs came with Normandy luxe hubs? Was there a Normandy branded QR?

Thanks for any knowledge you all may have on this.
