Subject: [CR]need help with quick-release I D

I just received a late-1940s Benotto with Simplex TdF (1948?) 5-speed rear derailleur and some mystery quick releases. The front hub is a 3-piece style which reads "LAZARETTI". The rear hub is also 3-piece, fixed/fw, reads "FALCO".

The qr nuts are rounded aluminium domes, like half a sphere but flattened slightly "on top". The lever side has another aluminium half dome with a slot through the center, through which the end of the steel skewer flattens to form an eyelet. A steel cam lever straddles this eye, and a pin passes through both parts to hold the lever in place. The front lever is considerably smaller than the rear lever. They both read "STOP" and "BREV.".

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Perhaps some Simplex parts?

I can send pics later this weekend, if that will help.

Thanks for any information.
