With all due respect Dave, but I think you're wrong in your statement above. I have two groups of CDA, one mounted on a bike, both from the first year it came out. Also I have a current Record track group mounted on a "keeper of the flame", on topic, '02 Waterford fixed gear road bike.

The CDA crank arms have a beautiful curve to them that the Record Track cranks do not and the spiders are different offsets so the two are different forgings. They actually don't have much more than a superficial resemblance to each other (five arms instead of the Record road four arms with the fifth bolt behind the crank arm).

The CDA hubs were based on Chorus and the Record Track hubs (the "sheriff star" large flange and small flange) were based on the Record Road hubs (or both the Road and the Track hubs shared the same styling). The current Record Track hubs (all black not available in silver) look to me to be based on the newer Chorus hubs but that is said without much research on my part. Campagnolo wants the buyer to go for their wheelsets and not their hubs so the track hubs sold now are not the same as the ones built into the current track wheelset with carbon rims.

Campagnolo no longer makes a track specific headset to my knowledge.

Anyone else care to comment?
