Hello, I am interested in a Colnago that is in Spain but I told the seller that I did not trust the deal -in a nice way of course. I know some list members buy from overseas and I would like to know if the following sounds like a good way to purchase the bike. This is the sellers reply back about how to work it:
(Start) So, here is how we can do this, a 100% secure method for both of us. The payment is through Western Union money transfer. You will do a Western transfer to my location, but not into my name. You will use a fictive or one of choise instead. This way I won't be able to pick up the money. You will give me the exact sender and receiver names that you use and the MTCN (money transfer control number) from Western so you I can call my local office and check the status of the transfer - I need both name and MTCN so that I can get the confirmation from the local Western Union office. If all is OK i will ship the bike and email you the tracking number, so you can see the status on the shipping online, in real time. After you will receive the package and make sure is allright you will call Western Union (this is free of charge) and change the transfer to my name. The transfer can be done online, using the credit card or over the phone. I belive that the online method has a limit of max amount to send and may not work.If you can't do online you must go to your nearest Western Union office in person. This is the fastest way to conclude this deal and the same time is a method with no risks involved for both of us. I hope you are still interested and we DO have a deal.
