Subject: [CR]Ephgrave seat tube decal

With regards to the Ephgrave photos I posted yesterday, Chuck Schmidt pointed out to me that the seat tube decal might be 90 degrees out of line, as it slants down from left to right instead of slanting up. Such an inaccuracy wouldn't surprise me as the person who refurbished the bike wasn't concerned with historical accuracy anyway. However, the pictures of Malcom King's early 50's Ephgrave on the CR site looks to have the decal the "wrong" way too.

Does anyone know if Ephgrave installed the seat tube decals only slanting up, or did a few bikes get the decals slanting down from left to right?

Thanks for the help.

PS: I'm hoping the Ephgrave can make a personal appearance at Dan Artley's Baltimore area ride this weekend. Who else is coming?
