Subject: [CR]WTT: Campy Record Rear Nutted Caliper: Long For Short

Hey All,

As long as Ed's looking for Campy calipers, I thought I'd chime in, too. I have a long-reach nutted rear Campy Record caliper I'd like to trade for a short-reach nutted rear Record caliper. Mine is block-lettered with domed qr, in Exc+ condition, and I'd like a block/domed caliper in similar shape. I can send digipix.

If there's a pivot bolt length conflict (you have a front, don't need a rear, whatever) we can just swap the caliper arms, and if you're not comfortable removing the arms from the pivot bolt I'll do it for you.

This is for my '72 Holdsworth Pro, which was built with "sprint clearances." Somehow I wound up with a mixed brakeset, with a non-sprintish long-reach rear brake. It works, the shoes hit the rim well way at the top of the slots, but it doesn't look quite right.

Please contact me offlist to keep the public boredom level down. :-}

Cheers,
