I, too found Dave to be the most kind and generous of folks. Met him at Cirque and corresponded often when I needed his great advice or opinion. Indeed, he will be missed on this list.
What I want to say here is a bit painful, but many of us are getting along in years and this is going to be a more common thing that we are going to be losing members. Perhaps we need a way to start honoring, at Cirque or otherwise, those of us who will no longer be with us. I look around and see many other folks I love to correspond with who are in their 50s or 60s and know that this has to happen.
I am 61 now and sometimes think while riding that I've had a good life and if I go, I'd just as soon go while riding a lovely back road on a nice day.
