I'm not sure, but my Dad and I bought PX-10's a year apart (mine was '73, my Dad's '74) and we both got bikes with a peculiar mix... mine had a "fancy" BB, seat lug and crown, with "plain" head tube lugs. My dad's bike was almost the opposite... Fancy head lugs and seat lug, plain BB and fork crown. Very odd... I had always assumed that they were in a transition period at this time. Either that or somebody down on that factory floor had a hell of a sense of humor.
