Richie red certainly might have broader appeal, but rarity also has some appeal to the esoteric minded among us. Since Elvis has left the building, we might not have the benefit of the builder's personal feelings on this one (sad loss, that), but pink can be interesting in the right circumstances. A long ago roommate had a pink Fred Kelly Alpine that was mighty cool, and always drew attention. I'd love to find that one. I had a De Rosa done for my wife in pink pearl with black decals that's really tasty.
