In the line of "keepers of the flame" is the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France. As most of you know Lance made it 5 in a row this morning. I'm not a big racing fan-- though Mitzi is-- but I think this tour will go down as one of the greats. This year we had everything. There was Tyler's testicular fortitude riding all but one stage with a broken collarbone, and even winning a stage. Petacchi bailing out early after 4 stage wins. Beloki's horrendous crash almost taking out Lance and ending his season. That crash also caused Lance to dig into that cyclocross experience from the last winter. There was also the crash when he caught a musstte on his brake lever and went down hard. Then there was the whole race rivalry between Jan and Lance. Jan raced great and slowly made up time until he was in striking distance of the yellow jersey. Alas his fall during the last TT took that chance away. Sure there were stages that were little more interesting than watching grass grow, but all-in-all I think this one will be one of the Tour people will be talking about in 30 years. enjoy, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives SB, CA
