Subject: [CR]Dawes Realmrider tubing?

O CR-folk (and especially our brethren across the pond),

I'm wondering if anyone knows what sort of tubing would have been used to build a c. 1962 Dawes Realmrider. It's a surprisingly light bike to have as many steel components as it does. FWIW, the seat post appears to be a smidgen smaller than 27.0mm - the post in that size I tried won't quite go, but it looks VERY close to the steel post that came with the bike.

Not too long ago, I saw a lovely lady's Dawes Windrush derailleur-equipped bike on eBay with almost identical graphics - save that the Windrush had a cool decal indicating 531 tubing, and this bike does not.

It has been suggested in an offlist exchange that it may be 531 plain gauge main tubes with Truweld (sp?) stays and forks. I had never encountered Truweld before - anyone know more about the stuff?

Now, to find a good GB stem and some decently wide dropped bars for this rascal ...
