Hello Alll A few thoughts on the Cluad frame, I've just had a look at the 1951 and 53 catalogs. In the 51 catalog the lugset is discribed as the Continental classique with pressed lugs and flat track ends are shown made from 9 swg 30 ton steel ,oo errr !! Chevrons are shown on the seat tube ,where as one of the road models has the olympic rings. In the 1953 catalog the same lugs are discribed as Universal club lugs. The track ends have reinforcing and the seat tube still shows the chevrons. I think with CBs any thing is possible as frames were being knocked out by the truck load by all sorts of buiders, in all sorts of ways To put a spanner in the works I have a semi bi laminated CB frame !!! Wotk that out

Cheers Pete Paine Watford
