Subject: [CR]Not first plastic bike

Maybe we mean the first plastic road bike but the very site that discusses this bike also discusses the Bowden Spacelander from the early 60s. This was an all plastic (fiberglass) bike that is very desireable among collectors. Here is that site. http://www.firstflightbikes.com/bowden.htm Also here is a photo of what it looks like. http://www.thecabe.com/arc/middleweight/Bowden/bowden1.jpg Also there was another plastic bicycle from Europe, I believe Sweden. Even the wheels were plastic and it was sort of a commuter bicycle. Available in all colors so long as it was tan. I believe there were others that I cannot think of right now so this is not really the first plastic bicycle.
