The Bowden Spacelander was not ALL-plastic (including chain, spokes, pedals, chainrings, freewheel, etc.) ...

The "Original Plastic Bike" was literally ALL plastic.

> Maybe we mean the first plastic road bike but the very site that discusses

\r?\n> this bike also discusses the Bowden Spacelander from the early 60s. This

\r?\n> was an all plastic (fiberglass) bike that is very desireable among

\r?\n> collectors. Here is that site.

\r?\n> http://www.firstflightbikes.com/bowden.htm

\r?\n> Also here is a photo of what it looks like.

\r?\n> Also there was another plastic bicycle from Europe, I believe

\r?\n> Sweden. Even the wheels were plastic and it was sort of a commuter

\r?\n> bicycle. Available in all colors so long as it was tan. I believe

\r?\n> there were others that I cannot think of right now so this is not

\r?\n> really the first plastic bicycle. Ray Homiski Elizabeth, NJ
