Add an adjustable cable tensioner (like orig. gran sport) for the super hot set up. Thought I thought that one up back around 78. And The RED Bullseye pulleys for period correct.. Add a calibrated arm and you'll shift like me!

Subject: [CR]Hot Rodding NR derailleurs

Late last week somebody had a posting on their favorite modification to Campy NR derailleurs, I was busy at the time and did not get to reply. My own "hot rod" NR derailleur setup is to install the cage from the later Super Record which has a slightly revised shape providing better shifting and a bit more chain wrap. Into this cage I install the grey "ball bearing" pulleys, the cones for which can be adjusted JUST right, unlike the plain bearing pulleys that come with the NR. If necessary I replace the plastic bushing in the lower pivot. And then, as a finishing touch, a set of OMAS titanium derailleur bolts completes a period-correct customization.

If anybody has a set of those OMAS bolts for an NR derailleur, I'd make a good trade or pay cash outright for them.
