I'm wondering if the test performed on the tied and soldered wheels that seemed to measure deflection would apply to wind up on the drive side. Some of the current lightweight clinchers today have wind up problems (at least, that's my thought). Some of these clinchers are using clincher rims as light as 350g. Strong riders seem to be able to pull the rear wheels out of true. They can be trued again but sooner or later, it'll happen again. On the other hand, the front wheels last forever. So I guess my question is does deflection equal drive side wind up?
