CRs:

I just bought the August 2003 issue of ProCycling. This is a particulary good issue, because the theme is 5 time Tour winners (Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault, Indurain) and their personalities. The history of Mont Ventoux is also covered. There is a fair number of good-quality vintage pictures in all of the articles.

Also of interest is the introduction of an anniversary Eddy Merckx "MX Leader" LUGGED STEEL frameset. It's done in the classic Molteni scheme of orange with blue panels. The decals use the early style block lettering, and Eddy's picture is on the head and seat tubes. The tubing is modern Columbus MXL, oversized and tapered. There are down tube shift lever pegs and ergo guides on the side of the head tube. and the fork is threadless.

So, you can still be all Campy on a steel 2003 Eddy Merckx!

The edition of the frame is supposedly limited to the UK's Bike Park: http://www.bikepark.co.uk .
