Subject: [CR]my funky new Mercian, advice sought

Hi all, I recently received my new Mercian frameset that I ordered a few months back. Some of you may recall that I had it built to "Atlantis" specs and to that end it came out great. There was also a general consensus on the list that Mercian's were not quite up to the build quality of the Rivendells, but for the price you couldn't really go wrong.

The is one glaring sore spot on the frame, at least to me. When looking at the frame from the front, the "points" on the headtube lugs are not aligned with one another and are not centered on the frame. The lower head lugs point is skewed a bit to the left, the upper lugs point is off to the right. Further compounding this "look" is the head tube decal is off to the left a bit. All in all it looks very funky to me and I'm not at all happy about it. I realize you get what you pay for and I didn't pay $2000 plus for the frame, but I don't think what I received is acceptable. I e-mailed Mercian last night about this but have not received a reply as of yet. I have a picture of this available to anyone who would like to see it. I welcome all opinions. Maybe I'm just too picky?

thanks,
