While on the topic of Mavic components, can someone advise what there top of line offerings were in 1986 (along with how to ID them)?

I own a beautiful 1986 Peugeot PZ10 which was pretty much Peugeot's last fling at a high end road lugged steel bike here in the states. It is a stunning golden bronze with well executed and filed lugs w/cutouts, small amounts of chrome and many unusual details. Made from 531C tubing. JB carefully touched up a few small paint blemishes and then clear coated with a mix of flat and gloss to give it a less wet look and more appropriate vintage shine. It was originally equipped from the factory with a full Campagnolo SR (not reduced SR) group and was quite expensive in it's day so few seem to have been sold due to price and Camp SR becoming out of fashion. As I am now fortunate to own three other Campagnolo NR/SR equipped bikes, I want to build this frameset up with all French components and a period appropriate Mavic group seems just the ticket. I was away from the cycling world in the '80's and have no experience with Mavic components or groups from the period. Looking on ebay, the differences in models and year seem very difficult to differentiate.

So, please help with guidance on what to look for.

Please reply on-list as this is not a topic that's been covered before.
