Subject: [CR]San Diego Two Day This Weekend

To all,

This weekend (Sept 20-21) 10 local, national, and international teams will compete over two days, a total of more than 250 laps of racing in a dozen different events including a "motorpaced madison", a "flying lap time trial", miss-and-outs, and finshing with an "80-lap madison".

This grueling series of events will result in ONE victorious team when the event concludes at San Diego on Sunday afternoon, but follow the progress of the teams throughout on the custom scoreboard as they fight for points, yet try to avoid losing laps.

New for 2003 is the Invitational Sprint Tournament featuring 6 of the best local-bred sprinters. Watch them battle it out over the two days in a mix of sprints, chariot races, and motor-paced keirin racing.

There will likely be many vintage style bikes and/or parts but either case the air will be filled withthat great tradition and the faint echoes of Jimmy Walthour and Alf Goulet!

Racing starts at 5 PM on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

Thanks

Joey D'Antoni Raleigh, NC
