Ron Skarin, national team member, won many races in Southern California on a Teledyne in the mid-70s, but they were extremely flexy and by 1976 were considered junk because of all the breakage problems.

Don Dragaset, who owned John's Bike Shop in Pasadena (same family since 1908, sold in the mid 1980s and now gone), sold and rode Teledynes. Rolled out of his driveway one morning and the fork end snaped off when he dropped the inch from his driveway apron to the street surface!

My Confente frame and fork cost $425 in 1978 :)
