Mismatched set of wheels here, from my bad old days when--Rivendell-style--I didn't care if anything matched. They do have very nice matching rims, however.

Ukai 27 x 1 1/8" rims, silver sides, dark-grey-nearly-black enamelled faces (it doesn't look like anodizing to me, but like actual enamel of some kind, very thin, very well-done). In like-new condition. Laced to...

...in front, a first generation Weyless hub with the original quick-release. Still turns as smooth as the day I bought it 25 years ago. Cosmetically the hub is still very good.

...in back, a silver-finished, mid-70s vintage Bullseye hub, spaced for five-speed use, or Ultra-Six I suppose. The bullseye hub comes with an early flat-lever Shimano quick-release.

3-cross, with stainless straight guage spokes. Some fairly well-used tires mounted...they still have some miles left however. I think they were Specialized touring of some kind but the labels are gone.

This mismatch occured because back when I had no money to speak of the original Weyless rear hub came apart at the flange/body joint. I had it replaced with a bullseye...then in the fullness of time the original araya rims I had got bent somehow, or I just got tired of them, and I had the Ukais installed...silly. This was back when I had just two bikes...and not much money..

These wheels are totally bullet-proof, and well worth $65 shipped.

E-mail me privately if you're interested.
