In any event, the Campy track headset I'm using is a "Record Pista" and in fact, it looks pretty much like a NR headest, save the lower stack height. Of course, Campy may have offered different track headsets during different eras. I wouldn't be surprised if the track headset offered in the '60s and early '70s was simpler and Gran Sport like, while the ones sold in the early '80s were NR or SR like. By the way, cutting the fork too short isn't the only reason to use one. In my case, it was actually the only reasonabley priced French threaded headset available!
