In case you are not familiar with the term 'trainer', it is the European term for a sweater or warm-up/cool-down garment. Fausto wore a trainer after his races, when he had to sit with the press and be interviewed. Koblet wore a trainer as well. Heck...they all wore trainers when they finished their races. It's basically just a cool-down garment, so you don't get that dreaded post-ride chill. Merino wool works the best at regulating your body temperature and transporting the moisture vapor away from your sweaty skin.

But they also make a great cold weather outer garment, for cycling, skiing, iceskating, hunting, fishing, or whatever you like to do outdoors in cool weather. They are unbelievably warm and very comfortable. They are also excellent to wear over a t-shirt, with a pair of jeans - out on the town - for dinner or shopping. They will turn heads wherever they are worn.

You can also see several of the smiling happy people at previous Velo Rendezvous events - all wearing Woolistic and Alessandro wool clothing. John P., Scott S., Jay V., Matt G., Peter J., Chuck S., Sterling P., Brian B., Aaron L., Charles A., and myself, just to name a few.

GET YOURSELF and YOUR BIKES to PASADENA next weekend! This event is one you'll remember for a long time and it simply cannot be missed.

And I heard that the 1971 Crescent Bicycle poster girl is going to be signing autographs at this year's Velo Rendezvous.....FOR REAL!!!! She told me so. Honest.
