Put the gear lever in 2nd position. On old type levers should line up exactly with top of Sturmey scroll, and the indicator be flush with the end of axle. In 3rd. gear, a grove on the indicator rod will be level with the end of axle. Fourth gear (high), the indicator should stick out 15/32 in. outside the axle. If this amount exceeded, the indicator has become unscrewed, and should be screwed up very "gently", using a small screwdriver in the slot end of the indicator, and holding the toggle-chain to prevent it turning.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
