Subject: [CR]Squeaky brakes

Sometimes the brake pads become glazed over or have some crud imbedded in them that will cause braking noise. Taking a wood rasp and roughing up the pads a bit seems to help. Better braking results, and it can reduce wear on the rim wlls. It might not be bad to regularly do this as part of the maintenance practices.

Did you "toe in" the brake pads slightly with an adjustable wrench? I have found this tends to solve most squeal problems... Otherwise, you mat need to change to a different set of brake pads
