Subject: [CR]MASI serial number question

Hi all, This is for the MASI experts out there. Right now on ebay there is a MASI with serial number 035 and the owner is claiming it is the 160th MASI built in Carlsbad. With the zero beginning the hundreds in sequence. I understand that the first 25 may not have had serial number and that 1200 is the general number believed to have been built in Carlsbad. I have also heard that after #1000 the bikes were numbered with a zero in front making #035 actually, what?, number 1035 or number 1350? If someone could clear this up it would be appreciated. Also, Thanks to all of you who have contributed your MASI info for the Registry. As many Italian MASI's seem without serial numbers, I want to focus the first effort of the Registry toward collecting as many Carlsbad frame numbers as we can. I'll accept San Marcos as well but the pre-California Masis and Italian MASI and Volumetricas and Prestiges will have to wait. But thank you for the enthusiam. So any of you with Carlsbad MASI's please send your info my way. I'm looking for: Year. serial number, size, color, owner name and town and any details such as original paint or original owner for whatever you like. Thanks again,
