Subject: [CR]FOR SALE: 1977 KEITH LIPPY TOURING BICYCLE

Dear Listmembers, A friend of mine has asked for my help in selling his Keith Lippy touring bicycle. It was built for him in 1977 and he has not ridden it in a long time. It has had only one owner and is in superb condition for a 26 year old bike. Keith's work is legendary around these parts and his bikes are highly desirable. It is a very well made frame with excellent lugwork and the seat lug-seatstay cap area is one of the finest I've ever looked at. It has to be seen up close to really appreciate it. This is the bike on page 3 of Dale's Velo Rendezvous photo report on the CDO website. It has 27" wheels but brake clearance is fine for 700c also. Even R. Brian Baylis is a Keith Lippy fan.

Some particulars: 531 frame & fork 59cm S.T., 57cm T.T., 43cm chainstays, original Signal Green Imron paint, no scratches, no rust. It has one of Keith's custom rear racks painted to match.

Bar & Stem: 3ttt (choice of 6cm or 10cm stem)

Saddle: Ideale Mod. 90

Freewheel: Suntour Ultra 6 13-30

Campagnolo NR gruppo with SL pedals (I can find no evidence of wear on these). All parts are '77 vintage (pre CPSC front derailleur, wheel guides, brake shoes, QR cam levers, straight QR levers etc.) Rear derailleur is NR with the long cage. Cranks are 170mm 52-42 chainrings.
