BIKETOBERFEST Date: 10/18/03 THIS SATURDAY Time: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Description: An Oktoberfest and bicycle festival rolled into one! This festival features German Style lagers from over 10 microbreweries in the area, German food and even a Polka band. While you are enjoying your brews and tasty treats check out all the latest gear and bikes, peruse the deals at the swap, and watch demonstrations at the bike expo.

The "bike festival" opens at 11am, featuring the Bike Expo MarketPlace, offering vendor booths filled with bikes, gear and great deals from many retailers and local companies. An excellent array of vintage and custom bicycles from the famous marquees of yesteryear will be displayed as well. Learn what is going on in the biking community by talking with cycling groups, bicycle advocacy groups and other local organizations supporting bicycling in your community.

For kids (12 and under) there will be a bike safety rodeo sponsored by Safe Routes to School. Please bring your helmet.
