Fred Y. wrote, wrt ebay item 3633235904: I had the Nervar Star cranks come stock on my 1972 Bottecchia Giro D'Italia. The ones for sale are not the star model. Although the box is. ========== Fred is correct. The Nervar Star cranks had a five arm spider, as depicted on the box. The good news is that both models use the Campy-and-now-everyone-else-threaded extractor. The bad news is that both use a unique 128 mm bolt circle. I have successfully "adjusted" the rings to fit a 130 spider, and suspect the converse could be done, but it would look very strange on an outer. The good news is that the one in the box is the "standard" Stronglight/TA/Williams 5-pin set-up, offering the possibility of setting up a touring bike with TA cogs and easy-to-find extractor. Nervar Star was also fitted to some unfortunate Raleigh Competitions (I have one), presumably when they ran out of the TA 3-arm. Anyone want to trade? :-) Harvey Sachs mcLean va
