In practice it's not that fussy. I have a GS triple spindle (spindles
rotate, axles don't) with (gasp) Shimano cups and Campy cranks with a Willow
triplizer and it works fine. The drive side is 2 to 3mm closer to the CS and about
the same amount shows past the lockring. Not that fussy.
